What's the big hype about exfoliating anyway? Well, if you want younger looking skin, exfoliate those dry, dead skin cells off! It's easy to do and should be done on your face and body EVERY single day. Exfoliating reduces and prevents fine lines and wrinkles and leaves healthy, fresh skin behind. It lightens dark spots, helps clear acne, improves skin's texture, reduces the appearance of large pores, and stimulates healthy skin renewal. Everyone can benefit!
There are many choices on what you can use to exfoliate. For body ~ a loofa with some body wash or a burlap soap pouch works great. We make an easy to use Loofa Soap, too. There are many gentle and effective scrubs available that you can use on your face and body like Moisturizing Sugar Scrub or Walnut Scrub. Don't worry ~ none of our scrubs contain microbeads that are polluting the oceans. To exfoliate effectively, gently move product in a circular motion all over face, body, and feet. Don't overdo it especially if you are just starting for the first time. If you have sensitive skin, try exfoliating every few days until your skin gets used to the new routine. Enjoy your healthy, glowing, younger-looking skin! Parabens are used in many products as a preservative to inhibit mold and bacteria growth. Studies have found that parabens mimic hormones in our bodies and have actually been found in breast tumors. Parabens have also been shown to reduce the sperm count in males, alter the formation of reproductive organs, and cause skin cancer. Women and children have the highest risk for developing problems associated with using products that contain parabens.
While we certainly don’t want mold and bacteria growing in our personal care products, there are more natural preservatives available. All of Bath and Body Creations’ products are paraben-free. We don’t want to take the chance of potentially causing any tumors, cancer, or reproductive issues. Some of our products are preservative-free. If it doesn’t contain water and won’t be stored in a shower where water could get inside, we don’t think it needs one. When we do add a preservative, it is a paraben-free, formaldehyde-free preservative that is gentle and effective. Of course there is a large controversy about parabens and some companies claim there is no harm in using them. Do your own research if you are concerned and make smart choices. If a product could potentially cause cancer, I don't want to use it on my family and I certainly won't knowingly sell it to you :) References: FDA.gov SafeCosmetics.org |
